The Young Agents Development Conference (YADC)returns to Wilmington October 29-30 for two high-energy days designed to help you build your skills, grow your network, and take the next step in your insurance career. Explore practical sessions on sales, leadership, AI, technology, and more while connecting with fellow Young Agents from across North Carolina.
And because YADC26 falls right before Halloween, we're bringing some spooky-season fun! 🎃 Join us Thursday evening at Cloud 9 Rooftop Bar for After Hours: Don't Ghost Your Future, featuring drinks, appetizers, skyline views, and a costume contest with prizes for some of the most creative looks. Costumes aren't required, but now's the time to start planning yours! Best of all, YADC26 is FREE for IIANC member agents.
Get to know Kimberly Fox of O’Connor Insurance in our latest Young Agent Spotlight! Kimberly shares a look at her role, what she enjoys most about working in insurance, and some of her experiences working with large commercial accounts.
She also talks about emerging technology and cyber risks, shares advice for those just starting their insurance careers, and explains what iLEAD means to her.

August iNAP: Make an Impact Beyond the Office
Join iLEAD's iNAP (New Agent Power Hour) on August 24th at 2:00pm for Community Involvement: Making an Impact Beyond Your Job Description. Facilitated by iLEAD committee member, Alyssa Klepchick, this interactive discussion will explore ways young agents can get involved within their agency, support community initiatives, build local connections, and make a meaningful impact both professionally and personally. Bring your questions, share your experiences, and connect with fellow Young Agents from across North Carolina.
This year at InsurEXPO26, the iLEAD booth is giving Young Agents another way to make an impact! We’re collecting grocery store gift cards for stores in the RTP area and monetary donations to support a Christmas Dinner Drive benefiting Community of Hope Ministries.
Bring a grocery store gift card with you or scan the QR code at the iLEAD booth to donate on the spot. As a thank-you for your contribution, we’ll have a small gift waiting for you! Donations will help purchase groceries for Christmas dinner baskets that volunteers will box at the IIANC office in Cary on December 3rd. Stay tuned for more details on how you can get involved!
Haven’t registered for InsurEXPO26 yet? Join us September 17-18 in Winston-Salem - registration is FREE for all IIANC member agents. Be sure to stop by the iLEAD booth while you’re there!

Ready for Top Gun? Take Your Advocacy Skills Higher
Insurance is highly regulated, and those elected NC Insurance Commissioner and to the state legislature make the rules, regulations and set taxes that independent insurance agents operate under.
The iLEAD Top Gun program is a chance for Young Agents to learn more about how the world of government, politics, and advocacy work (and earn a little CE credit, too).
Top Gun starts with one in-person session in Raleigh on October 9th, with two virtual sessions on October 16th and 23rd - there will also be a special iLEAD Top Gun graduation as part of the Young Agents Development Conference on October 29th.
Interested and want more details? Just reach out to IIANC Chief Advocacy Officer Joe Stewart at jstewart@iianc.com or (919) 614-0520 with any questions, or to sign up to participate!
Get Up to $500 Toward Your Designation
Working toward an insurance designation? The iLEAD Young Agent CE Scholarship can help offset the cost of approved CE courses that move you closer to earning your designation, with awards of up to $500 or the full course cost, whichever is less.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with priority given to first-time applicants. If you have a designation course coming up, apply early and let iLEAD help you invest in your professional growth!
